Genesis 2....

Well, when I read my Bible this morning I felt it was a bit rushed so I read it again this evening after my run and I seem to meditating on the words of the end of the passage.

18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Perhaps because I am young and am at the marrying age now. Or perhaps because though I try to ignore it is on my mind. Of when will God send me a husband. I guess I just have to hold out hope that the young man whose rib the Lord used to make me is just as excited to meet me as I am him. And in the mean time before we meet the Lord is doing a great work in both our lives and preparing each of us to truly be a God focused couple. Too often I see people my age get into relationships too soon and physical too soon I think it adds stress to the relationship because the reasons they choose to stay together are not always the right reasons. True the Lord can use those difficulties to bring them closer together. I guess we never quite know his plans for us until they are upon us… Just like the verse thy word is a lamp unto my feet. He never gives us more than we can handle… Perhaps his word was a flashlight or even headlights and we could see way into the distance and see a giant cliff that we would fall off and then climb back up… would you really want to keep heading in that direction. The Lord knows what he is doing and I am enjoying climbing up the steep cliff to get back on solid ground.

Off to bed after studying for my telemetry test. Wish me Luck!
