The Breakfast Club... (old post)

Tuesday the Nov 15, 2011...

Back to the work grind... I was in the PACU today. I had a very enjoyable day. After work I got invited to the Breakfast Club, a breakfast dinner. Sadly, all that meant was dress in Pjs and eat breakfast foods. Sadly, we did not watch the Breakfast club as well. I got to meet more people in the Singles group, so that was fun. After dinner, I helped clean up and then we all chatted for a while. I had to leave early, because I needed to go to my indoor-vball game. Sadly we lost again. However, the night was fairly enjoyable overall.

Wednesday the  Nov16, 2011...

So funny story, today I had a pt that had surgery on his private area. He came out and was quite friendly and very open. He asked me if he could get up and use the latrine. I told him he had a catheter in and that if he needs to go, go ahead. He pauses, thinks about that and then looks at me, " Wait, you've seen my penis?" I just looked at him and smiled, there was nothing I could say. His reply to that was, "Did it look good?" He proceeded to continue to be very friendly and then he told me, "You know if I wasn't married, I would ask you to marry me, but you'd probably say no, because you are so beautiful." After multiple compliments and laughter I couldn't help but keep laughing when he told me that he is allowed to hit on me because he is under the influence of drugs. Oh how funny he was. Not going to lie, being proposed to, by a 39 year old is slightly a compliment. However, a very hilarious day. I got out late was unable to make it to youth group. So I went to CM's going away party and got to meet a lot more of her College plus coworkers. Overall, a very eventful night I also got a call from my friend JM back home is now engaged! I just want to say congrats to her and KA!! May the Lord truly bless your engagement and the coming nuptials. Love you!!

If yesterday was a day about the male private area, today was all about the female. Kind of makes me laugh. How that happens. I had a patient today that was super sweet. I got her after her surgery and she was ready to go in 30 min flat after surgery and then I even discharged her in one hour. Quite impressive I think. Overall, not too stressful. After work I went to the playoffs of sand volleyball. Sadly we lost in the last and final game. :( Then after the game we went and had a free beer. We played some pool and then after having our free beer we went to Hofbrau house for dinner. It was delicious. We had some very interesting conversation about men and women and relationships. Kind of was a very interesting conversation going on here.

 I started to realize why I am single, because I don't put out. I don't try to be a girlie girl. I am who I am and I guess if the Lord made a man that can handle me, then one day I will get married. haha. Until that day, I guess I'll keep being my crazy self.
